Screen changer [rod rotary type]

Lightweight, compact, energy-saving, labor-saving, and capable of precise filtration screen changer.

Our "Screen Changer" utilizes a rod rotary system, contributing to energy savings, labor savings, and space savings. During operation, backwashing, and screen replacement, there is no need to stop the operation at any time. Additionally, the high-temperature screen cylinder is contained, resulting in minimal heat dissipation. It has low pressure loss and allows for long-term continuous production. Due to its large filtration area, precise filtration with higher density screens (500#, 30μm) is possible. [Features] - Rotation is the most efficient method, requiring less power, ensuring smooth operation, and easy shaft sealing. - The cylindrical screen is the most compact and has a wide filtration area (about four times that of a disc type). - The melt flow is a mixed flow of the shaft and light, ensuring uniformity of the melt. - The orientation of the inlet and outlet of the melt flow can be selected as straight type, vertical/horizontal, or directional change type. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Comparison of cylindrical screens and disc screens

Comparing cylindrical and disc shapes! Our company adopts the "cylindrical shape," which is lightweight and has low pressure loss!

Our company has been using "cylindrical" screens in all of the several types of screen changers we have developed over the past 20 years, and we already have a track record of approximately 1,000 sets, both large and small. Currently, the screens and screen changers commonly used in general extruders are mostly "disc-shaped," but based on the comparison results of both types, we believe that the smaller size and lower pressure loss of the "cylindrical" type are superior. 【Comparison Items (Cylindrical Screen / Disc Screen)】 ■ Outer Diameter (Size): 1.0 / 2.6 ■ Body Weight: 1.0 / 5.0 ■ Breaker Cylinder (Thickness of Breaker Only): 1.0 / 4.5 ■ Breaker Pressure Loss: 1.0 / 4.5 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Screen changer

Electricity cost reduction of 30-40%: Continuous, backwashing, and large filtration area rod rotary type screen changer.

With the advancement of high functionality and high quality in extrusion molding, more precise filtration has become necessary. However, conventional Tsuchiya screen changers make precise filtration difficult. Additionally, polymer filters cannot operate continuously. The solution to these concerns is the screen changer using Tsuchiya's cylindrical screen! 【Features】 ☆ A unique, one-of-a-kind technology using a rod rotary method ☆ - The cylindrical screen is the most compact with a wide filtration area (about 4 times that of a disc type) - The high-temperature screen cylinder is enclosed, resulting in less heat dissipation - Due to the wide filtration area, precise filtration with a higher density screen (500#, 30μm) is possible *For the basic structure, operation, and examples of the product, please download and view the catalog.

Proposal to maintain productivity during screen replacement in extrusion molding.

Automatic cleaning prevents clogging! A screen changer that enables continuous production for 24 hours.

The continuous backwash screen changer 'FDC60' is a continuous backwash screen changer that offers significant advantages in energy saving, resource conservation, and space-saving. Aligning the outlet of the screen changer according to the molding direction shortens the pathway for the molten resin, which helps prevent melt degradation. Additionally, the elimination of elbows due to directional changes saves space, allowing for a smaller heater capacity. 【Features】 ○ Continuous operation: Capable of non-stop production 24 hours a day, 365 days a year ○ Backwash type: Automatically cleans clogged screens for repeated use ○ Large filtration area: Minimal pressure rise due to clogging, minimal decrease in extrusion volume ○ Omnidirectional: The outlet direction of the screen changer can be selected according to the molding direction *For more details, please contact us or download the PDF.

Advantages of cylindrical screens *A comparison table of cylindrical and disc shapes is included as a gift.

A large filtration area can be secured with low pressure loss, and there are approximately 1,000 sets of results in a "cylindrical" shape!

Currently, the screens used in extruders are mostly disc-shaped. The same applies to screen changers (hereinafter referred to as S/C). However, in a familiar example, the screens used in household sink drains were once disc-shaped, but now they are all cylindrical. At GP-C Tsuchiya, we have adopted this "cylindrical" shape, which allows for a larger filtration area and less pressure loss, with approximately 1,000 sets in operation. Why do the screens in extruders on-site remain disc-shaped? What are the advantages of cylindrical screens? We have included a comparison table between cylindrical and disc-shaped screens, so for more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
